Sunset

Brittany M.
I chose to use orange for my selective color project because I love the vibrant color and how intense it is.   I edited this image by increasing the definition just a little bit. Other than that, it is all natural.

Mallory

Tyler D.

This picture was taken in the courtyard.  I really like the angle that the picture was taken.  To edit this picture, I first enhanced it, then boosted and faded the color.  Next I changed the saturation, contrast, and exposure.  And finally I have the image an edge blur.

Railroads

Taylor C.

This picture was taken in Lake Cyrus on the train tracks about 2 weeks ago for the portrait project. I love the colors and the composition of the photo because the focus s split between me and my sister due to the tracks

Anthony

Natalie S.

This picture was taken at the end of October at a pumpkin patch. My cousin Anthony loves pumpkins so i thought this picture of him described him perfectly! I love how the colors stand out brightly and how the object of the photo, Anthony, is out of the center of the picture creating interest.

Molly R.

Molly R.

I took these pictures In and outside of my house one weekend in October. To edit this picture i used some of the minor filter gallery effects. A strength is thatch of the letters are clear.

Meredith

Molly P.

This photo was taken in Meredith's backyard for the portrait project. This photo is one of my favorites because i didn't do anything to edit it and it still looks pretty good.

Fuego

Michael C.

This picture was taken this past weekend at my lake house. The strengths are how the color of the fire draws in your eyes. I also like how the picture captures the movement of the fire.

L' Carro Rosso

Luis E.

This picture was taken outside of my house. It was not taken for any previous project but, i really like it.

Summer in November

Stefanie S.

I took this picture about a week ago in Old Town Helena while I was doing a shoot of one of my friends. I thought it was funny seeing this little patch of flowers surrounded  by dead leaves and bare trees in the middle of November.

Fisherman's Hands

Connor B.

I took this photo about 2 weeks ago for the portrait assignment. i like this photo because i managed to get the line in focus as well as his hands.i chose it because i like all the detail in it.

Showdown

Joanna W.

This picture was taken at the state soccer cup this weekend. The image shows part of the semifinal game between the Hoover Phantoms and Muscle Shoals. I like the position of the players in the image as the kicker looks confident and the opposing team members seem to be scared . This image is dedicated to the Hoover Phantoms, Division II State Champions of 2010.

Blue Eyed Beauty

Mary H.

I took this picture last thursday over by the lake by my house. I took it for my focus on color project and my color is purple. My strength in the picture is definitely the colors. The weakness is the way the skin tone looks, I feel like its too reddish.

Stop

Sarah T.

This picture was taken in my neighborhood, right around the Hoover Country Club golf course. It was taken for the Portrait project.  I love this picture because my friend, Katie, isn't posing and she looks natural.

MK in NY

Britney B.

The picture of Mary Kate was a cut out I took of her in her yard. That picture was from the portraits. I put her in a picture I took in New York City and added the light swirls from another picture I took so this is three combined images.

R.K.

Megan R.

This picture was taken at Workplay of the lead singer of the band Hot Chelle Rae, R.K. I really like the colors of the photo. They help show R.K.'s concentration.

Landscape

 John David M.

Faith

Brittany M.

I took this picture in my backyard in August for my About Me project. I selected this photo because I liked the clarity of it and how the shadow of the cross ring is shown on the Bible. I also like the angle that it was taken in.

Toms

Haley B.

This photo was taken of Molly's feet in the court yard for the portrait project. I selected this picture because I like how detailed the picture looks and how her feet are positioned.

Blake!

Zach K.

The picture of my cousin was taken for the composite image in the portraits project. I picked this photo because I think it showcases the "serious" side of photography and proves that taking pictures isn't just for fun, but also for revealing real sometimes controversial issues to the world... such as this giant kid.

Tennis

Ashleigh W.

This was taken at the beginning of the school year in my neighborhood behind the tennis courts.

One for One

Hannah M.

This picture was taken inside my closet on the floor. This photo was taken for the very first project we had, the About Me project. I like this photo because it describes that how much I like shoes. One of my favorite colors are red. With the black back ground the red really shines.

Reflections

John H.

This was taken at a business near Spain Park High School while we were looking at a Mercedes that was for sale and it was taken for the about me project. The strengths of this photo would be the contrast and balance. The reason I choose this photo is because while taking the picture I was not intending to get my truck and the trees behind in the photo but when I looked at the photo it looked interesting.

Crazy

Noel P.

The tittle of this image is crazy Noel because all the colors are so intense. This photo was taken at multiple locations for my name project. I selected this photo because i really thought the way i edited the photos looked nifty. the biggest weakness in the photo is that its really grainy in some parts.

Street Demon

Michael H.

Image was taken at a car show at the Colonial Promenade. To edit this picture I changed the gradient map to a custom pattern and used the Liquify tool to warp the background.

Moss

Jonathan S.

This photo was taken at Hunter Street Baptist Church for the portrait project. I picked this photo because the main people in the picture are in color and everything else is in black and white.

Walking Man

Connor H.
This was taken in the courtyard for the environmental portrait.  I like how i made the color faded.

Jared Letto

Anna W.
I took this picture at the Deluna Fest in Pensacola.  I love this picture because, 30 Seconds to Mars is my favorite bad.  I edited this picture to make the sunset reflect more on the stage.  I added saturation and adjusted the brightness.

War Eagle

Danielle C.
This was taken on Halloween night of our neighbor's kid, Logan.

Dixie

Christopher J.

This photo was taken in my sun room around September. It was taken for the about me project. I really like the clarity of the photo and how she is the only focus.

Coloring Fun

Brianna B.
This picture was taken for our portraits project about two weeks ago. It's my little sister, Jillian. I decided to change the zebra print to purple instead of black and I made her eyes a crazy color because she's anything but normal :) I didn't do so great at hand tinting around her forehead, but I didn't want her hair to look funny, so I left it as it is.

Look at its Eyes

Shahbaaz N.
This picture was taken on Wednesday, 27th October 2010.  This is my favorite picture and I bent down and took the picture from the side of the car and I turned my camera upward to the skies and the level of the amera was at the center of the wheel's height. I made sure that the car eyes looked interesting. I used gradient map for the background color.
