Take the Wheel

Danielle C.
This photo was taken on a playground close to my house. This is my favorite photo because I love how the image is in black and white and the wheels are in their original color.  To edit my photo I changed the image to black and white, then used the history brush to restore the color of the wheels.

I like the shallow depth of field in this photo. It puts the focus on the play car in the foreground while making the playground equipment in the background blurry. I really like the pop of the red in this image. I think that it would help the overall composition if there were more white or light grey tones in the photo to balance out the darkness of the foreground. I like the story that this photo tells as you can almost imagine a child coming to play on this playground.

I really like this picture because I like how you accented the wheels using the color restoration. I like that the wheels are in focus and the foreground and the background are not in focus. It gives the picture a good depth of field. I also like the balance in the picture-it works. You've got the second wheel in the picture, but it's only half of it. It brings interest to the picture. I remember playing on these when I was little!
