I really like how the cross is off to the right, therefore it's not the center focus, but it's one of the main focuses. The telephone poles, or lines in the background right above the grass could be marked out, or smeared so they wouldn't draw attention away from the cross and the fire. The two pictures change my mood completely. The first one is simple and also has a little bit of a calmness to it. The second picture shows a burning passion for releasing your sins.
i really like how you used the same picture and got two different meanings out of it. In the "Freedom" picture i really like how the flame stands out, i think the orange really works with the background. On the "Burning of Sins" picture i really like how you changed the tone and played with the contrast it really adds to the title and matches the meaning perfectly. good work!
I like the sepia looking one the most because it has more contrast. The other one needs a little more color. It is alittle bland. If you use the enhance button in iPhoto it might help alittle but you can also just play with the adjust button and move the contrast and color balance around. It helps a lot. Trust me!
